Sales Key Account Management

JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of a Key Account Manager is to protect the Large High Dependency Corporate Customer, Portfolio and Company’s revenue from risk of loss or reduction of portfolio. To represent the Company to existing customers in pursuit of business retention, and actively seek growth opportunities. To achieve Retention of targets, execute annual growth and achievement of KPI’s, seek new opportunities within existing client base.

To arrange internal meetings and deliver all relevant information into the business. Be aware of opposition as well as trends in the market, have an exceptional working relationship with clients and receive briefing of projects, innovation required within the respective business. Maintain high level relationships on a National basis with all key stakeholders. Forecasting, annual revenue targets set agreed budgets, align with customer

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (KPA’S)

➢ Retain National Accounts, High Dependency customer portfolio through close collaboration with operations teams with regard to stock: procurement, sourcing and development

➢ Achieve and improve retention targets and perform in line with Key Performance Indicators set for annual period, ensuing that the required GP is maintained.

➢ Ensuring compliance of the account and feeding any deviations by sales representatives and account managers to the respective sales management.

➢ Stock projections to be done accurately for the national account and fed into the business as required.

➢ Comprehensive understanding and comparison of competitors pricing, which is to be communicated into the team and management alike.

➢ Weekly dashboard meetings are to be cheered with sales reps in the regions in order to ensure all store openings are met and stock requirements are satisfactory any concerns are to be noted and addressed with operations and sales management.

➢ Make every effort to encourage our existing client base to retain our services by building and maintaining professional client relationships, with focus on unwavering client service expectations. Draw from regional support where required

➢ Communicate Risk and Opportunities on a regular basis, teaming up in meetings, sharing of information on all platforms

➢ Develop a relationship tier with all responsible parties

➢ Maintain complete records of all activities regarding customer, creating a relevant and factual data base, therein development and maintenance of company organogram

➢ Actively develop service range expansion to client portfolio, through proactively value engineering and improvement of product range, through the creation of developments, therefore the knowledge of all raw materials and the benefits of a variation of substrates is critical to the value added service offered.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Matric
  • 2 - 5 years’ KAM experience
  • Relevant sales & marketing background.
  • Sales & Marketing Diploma or equivalent is an advantage
  • Valid driver’s licence
