POSITION TITLE: Registered Nurse

LOCATION OF VACANCY: Muizenberg, Cape Town

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide health care to residents at Evergreen. Provides skilled, professional, comprehensive nursing and person-centred care as prescribed by medical practitioners and in compliance with regulations of the South African Nursing Council, and the policies of Evergreen Health; taking accountability for their SANC scope of practice.

MINIMUM CRITERIA

• Grade 12
• Registration/Certificates:
• SANC Registered staff (RN)
• Previous experience within a hospital / Sub-Acute facility
• Experience in Geriatric Care will be advantageous

REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES

• Works directly under the supervision of a Unit Manager
• Work within the Nursing process to provide direct Nursing Care to assigned patients
• Direct patient care within his/her scope of practice
• Function as part of the team
• Complies with accepted professional standards and principles.
• Oral and written communications skills.
• Planning, organizational, leading and control skills.
• Provide the highest patient care
• Area and scope of Practice
