Purpose of Position:

Sourcing candidates through various channels, planning interview and selection procedures and hosting or participating in career events. Assisting with the implementation of a wellness function and employee value proposition. Identify opportunities to build applicant pools, establish trust and partnerships with the managers, identify potential “fit” through effective interviewing and testing, effectively administer the interviewing and ensure a positive new hire experience. Developing and executing recruitment to ensure hiring goals are met with the best possible talent.

 
Requirements:

Certificate: Human Resource Management (Required), Grade 12 (Required), HR Diploma or degree

 
Required Experience:

1-2 years HR generalist experience with in a medical environment, 5 years HR generalist experience, Knowledge: Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Knowledge: Employment Equity Act (EEA), Knowledge: Google and Google Mail, Knowledge: Labour Relations Act (LRA), Knowledge: MS Word and MS Excel, Knowledge: Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), Knowledge of HIV legislation, Knowledge of payroll and systems

 
Key Responsibilities:

Communicate regularly with People Partners to get a clear view of company’s hiring needs and organizational goals., Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and to determine selection criteria., Create monthly reports on key talent acquisition metrics., Design job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements., Forecast quarterly and annual hiring needs for the different regions., Generate monthly updates for company’s leadership about upcoming talent acquisition initiatives, Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments and in-person, Proactively seek market intelligence to gain competitive advantage in attraction, assessment and sourcing methodologies., Represent company internally and externally at events with a goal of networking and relationship building with potential candidate communities, Research talent acquisition trends and suggest new ideas for improving talent acquisition activities., Serve as brand ambassador at various events, like career events or on-campus recruiting events, Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks)., Work closely with marketing department to develop creative ways for addressing talent acquisition challenges.
