JUNIOR DESIGNER

An opportunity has arisen in a successful growing business in Verulam KZN, for an experienced Junior Designer to fulfil the function effectively. He/she will typically perform a wide range of tasks, including creating floor plans and 3D models, and coordinating with vendors to ensure that everything is delivered on time and in good condition.

Junior interior designers may also be tasked with gathering information about their clients’ tastes and preferences so they can better understand what they want out of their new space.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Ensuring product designs meet required safety and structural standards.

· Blending technique and aesthetics to create final designs.

· Presenting various design perspectives for construction improvements and adaptations.

· Finalizing AutoCAD Or Similar models.

· Presenting models to clients.

· Completing job reports.

· Creating floor plans for homes and offices, using computer software such as AutoCAD Or Similar

· Taking measurements of rooms to ensure that furniture fits properly

· Creating renderings of room designs

· Preparing scale drawings of architectural details such as cabinetry, countertops, flooring, Back Splash, ect

· Conducting client consultations about design concepts.

· Planning room layouts for residential or commercial spaces

· Presenting finished designs to clients for approval

· Creating detailed sketches of room layouts or other designs using pencil and paper or computer software such as AutoCAD Or Similar

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree or Similar advantageous

· Previous work experience as an AutoCAD Or Similar

· Knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD Or Similar software.

· Knowledge of state safety and structure regulations.

· Excellent technical design skills.

· Good communication skills.

· A keen eye for aesthetics and detail.

· Ability to project manage.

WORKING HOURS

· Monday to Friday: 7.30am to 16.30pm

· Saturdays 7.30am to 12.30pm

SALARY - market related dependant on experience
